i'm supposed to be doing my commonwealth essay now. but i guess i need a break too. haha. sometimes i find that if i push myself too hard, everything in my mind becomes a blank. so sometimes i tell myself to take things slow. but on the other hand, i wonder how much time i have yet. if i told you sec4 life wasn't stressful you can slap me. the stress isn't material, its like some ivy that slowly creeps up behind you. you know it there but you can't do anything about it. lol.
listening to the i not stupid 2 theme song. somehow i love this song alot. it manages to invoke many mixed emotions in me. it makes me think. sometimes i complain and whine about how life is unfair to me. sometimes i wonder why can't i be as smart as others? why can't i do maths as well as others. why must i struggle so hard. but after the show and after listening to the song. i finally feel that in fact, i'm very fortunate. i have a roof over my head. food on the table. i may not be as rich as karen, but i need not worry about how to get money. i need not worry about political unrest. i need not worry about poor health. i realised too late how lucky i am. how fortunate i am to be able to study. i treasured my student life too late. haha. but i guess one learns from one's mistakes. if i fall down, i'll stand up again.
i'm thankful that i'm fat, because that means that i've enough to eat.
i'm thankful that my parents scold me, because that means that i have loving parents.
i'm thankful i fight with my brother, because that means that he's still around.
i'm thankful that i pull my hair out while doing maths, because that means i'm receivinbg an education.
i'm thankful for the bare, four walls i face, because that means i have a roof above my head.
i'm thankful for the aches and pains i experience, because that means i am not paralysed.
i'm thankful for grumbling every morning, blaming the govt for setting school at such an early time, because that means that i am still alive.
and i am thankful.
